Trudeau Painting by Dartmouth's very own Tom Forrestall

I thought you might be interested in this photo of our late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau that I recently found on the Internet:

Pierre Trudeau at his desk (note Forrestall painting to the side).

You can find the picture here: http://news.ca.msn.com/canada/trudeaus-law-office-desk-for-sale. On the left is a portrait of Trudeau’s three children painted by Dartmouth’s Tom Forrestall in 1986 and given as a gift from the nation. I wonder if Justin has this in his office? A member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Nova Scotia, Tom recently completed painting the Four Seasons of Canada on his old Mercedes car for Mercedes Canada – another beautiful work of art to be admired by many future generations.   By the way, the Prime Minister had another Dartmouth connection  – the late broadcaster  and businessman Arnie Patterson was his press secretary in 1979.
