More on Corner Cannons

In an earlier post (http://historydartmouth.blogspot.ca/2014/05/corner-cannons.html),
I explored the use of cannons as street-corner 'bollards' in Halifax/Dartmouth. Now, I am sharing pictures (owned by the Nova Scotia Archives and mostly from the Royal Engineers collection) that depict cannon bollards throughout military property in Halifax. I have spent hours carefully examining hundreds of old photos in an attempt to find cannons protruding from the ground! Yes, I am a bit eccentric...
